Een goed voorbeeld van een IoT-apparaat is een gloeilamp die kan worden ingeschakeld met een smartphone-app. Ook een bewegingssensor of een slimme thermostaat zijn goede voorbeelden. De voordelen van het IoT voor bedrijven zijn uiteraard afhankelijk van de specifieke implementatie. Hierbij spelen wendbaarheid en effici\u00ebntie een belangrijke rol. Het uitgangspunt is dat IoT bedrijven helpt om toegang te krijgen tot gegevens over bijvoorbeeld eigen producten en eigen interne systemen en daardoor een grotere mogelijkheid krijgt om hier tijdig op in te spelen. Deze check-out vrije winkel detecteert automatisch welke producten van het schap worden genomen of teruggezet en registreert dit in je virtuele winkelwagen. Na het winkelen loop je zo de winkel uit zonder eerst aan de kassa te staan. De bon ontvang je na het winkelen en het bedrag wordt met je Amazon-account verrekend.<\/span><\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<h3>Landbouw<\/h3>\n<p><span>De landbouw zal veel profiteren van IoT. Er worden tools ontwikkeld voor druppelirrigatie, het begrijpen van gewaspatronen, waterdistributie en drones om gewassen en het vee in de gaten te houden. Sensoren meten bijvoorbeeld licht, (bodem)vochtigheid en temperatuur. Bij afwijkingen kan er tijdig worden ingegrepen, waardoor oogsten beter zullen zijn.<\/span><\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<h3>Voorspellend onderhoud (Predictive maintenance)<\/h3>\n<p>Fabrikanten voegen sensoren toe aan componenten van hun producten, waardoor ze inzicht krijgen in de prestaties hiervan. Dit helpt ze om te zien wanneer een onderdeel waarschijnlijk defect raakt. Het component kan daardoor tijdig vervangen worden om te voorkomen dat er schade ontstaat.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.20.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<h3>Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)<\/h3>\n<p>ndustrial Internet of Things (IIoT) bestaat uit onderling verbonden sensoren, instrumenten en andere apparaten die zijn verbonden met computers. Het wordt gebruikt in industri\u00eble functies zoals fabricage, energiebeheer en meer. Het IoT is een belangrijke factor in de vierde industri\u00eble revolutie. Marktonderzoekers zoals Gartner en Cisco voorspellen dat de industrie het meest zal profiteren van het IoT.<\/p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section][et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243;
